Our process
If you need to keep flowers fresh until a posting day there are some simple instructions to follow:
- Long stems (like from a bouquet) need to be trimmed (minimal) and put in fresh water out of direct sunlight.
- Short stems (like from a funeral spray) need to be trimmed (minimal), wrap the end of the stem in damp tissue and then wrap the tissue in foil. This keeps moisture in. Do not get water on the flowers. Keep flowers in the fridge.
- Any loose flowers (small flowers like daisies) need to be wrapped in sheets of tissue paper/kitchen roll.
- When posting, flowers should be boxed packed with tissue paper / kitchen roll / newspaper to reduce movement which reduces damage to the flowers in transit.
- Do not use plastic or bubble wrap as these make the flowers sweat causing rot.
- Layer flowers in a smaller box rather than post in large boxes. Heavy flowers like roses place on the bottom, use tissue paper to create layers, lighter flowers, foliage being the last layer.
- We would rather have more than not enough to make your special keepsakes so try and send more than enough flowers.
- If your unsure whether your flowers will fit in your chosen mold please message us.
Please remember to only post flowers Monday - Thursday before 4.30pm using Royal Mail Special Delivery and don't forget to include your name somewhere (please do not post your flowers Friday or Saturday).
We will contact you when we have received them safely and will send progress pictures along the way.
Please remember flowers do change during drying. White flowers can go brown. Flowers can lose petals. Flowers placed in resin can cause bubbles. Flowers may stick out the back of your piece but we try to keep this to a minimum. Be careful of sharp edges.
If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact us.
